Next to networking, people look to their business organizations to learn new skills. While most organizations do the networking part well, there are few educational programs to help members become more successful in their businesses.

A new ”self-help” approach is being tried by Chamber South — a weekly telephone roundtable discussion, where a participant lays out a problem and others in the group brainstorm possible solutions.

In a large organization there are mechanisms to help managers with their problems, but there’s no help when you’re a small business with few or no employees.
