JohnMajor.net – Internet Explorer Exploit

All the more reason to only use Firefox and forsake, forever, the Internet Explorer browser.

It is riddled with problems.

And, for goodness sakes, do NOT do what this page suggests you do – visit the site and let it install something on your computer. Their post – by itself – may be an ‘exploit’.

But, there are plenty of other posts around the net relating to this ‘scrollbar’ exploit.

Look at this exploit in Internet Explorer 6, it allows a malicious piece of code to be ran on a targeted machine with very little interaction by the user. All the user has to do is scroll down the web page and through the use of some JavaScript and an Active X control, when the user releases the mouse button it can run malicious code on the client machine.
